The Fighting Iris by Charles Baughman Flower Series

The fighting referenced here speaks to the iris fighting for position in an abundant garden.  But also the process of building up the painting by layering in different patterns and designs one on top of each other and trying to get them all to get along.  I must 'Destroy To Create'.

This painting is not yet on my website but will be up soon.  Dimensions are 20"H x 16"W x 1 3/4"D.  There's no need for a frame because I paint around the edges.

  5. I am a fan of Monet and van Gogh...I love your Iris series! Especially this one...exactly because of the "fighting" theme. Great work! I do drawings myself, but am not that good. Just for fun.

    P.S. Following along now! :)
