Palette Iris by Charles Baughman Flower Series

I brought this in to the gallery this morning and I didn't get it on the wall because a person bought it out of my hands.  I also have an order from another person who wants a print.  But I wanted to put this on my blog because I really like the painting.

This truly is the palette that I was working with to mix paint for other works.  And I liked it so much that I thought a clump/Siberian Iris would really pop on the surface.  This is, as I tell my students, the "Happy Accident" creating even when your focus is elsewhere.  Creating from chaos.

This painting is not yet on my website but will be up soon.  Dimensions are 24"H x 18"W x 1 3/4"D.  There's no need for a frame because I paint around the edges.

  2. i could look at your blog all day. so beautiful. so so happy I found your blog. I'm totally following, I hope you will as well. I started my blog a little over 3 months ago after graduating from college in the south and moving across the country to LA. The site's all about celebrity fashion from the point of view of an LA stylist. I'd love if if you'd stop by to see multiple post a day on all the latest celebrity fashion news. Any support would be awesome. Thanks love. xoxo

  3. I love it! This is great!! The colors, the brush strokes. I can see how someone would purchase it immediately.
